01 Who it’s for

Sound familiar?

Most projects start with a frustration, not a technical specification.
  • “We need a proper website, or ours no longer does the job.”

A clear, fast, well-built site, with the functionality you need and someone to look after it.

    Websites
  • “We copy information between three spreadsheets, then email somebody.”

I’ll look at the actual workflow and build something that does the tedious part for you.

    Automation & integration
  • “We have software, but it needs fixing, extending or modernising.”

Careful work on existing systems: new features, bug fixes, upgrades and performance.

    Existing software & modernisation
  • “We know the problem, but not what the solution should be.”

Investigation and honest advice first, so you only build what actually helps.

03 Built, launched and looked after

Not handed over and forgotten.

A lot of software goes wrong after it’s “finished”: nobody is quite sure how it was deployed, who looks after the hosting or what to do when something breaks.

WorthIT Solutions can take a project all the way from the first conversation to a live, monitored system, and then keep looking after it. You get one point of contact who knows how everything fits together.

  • BuildDesigned and developed around your process
  • DeployAutomated releases, so updates are routine
  • HostCloud hosting, domains and DNS handled
  • MonitorProblems spotted early, not reported by your customers
  • MaintainSecurity updates, fixes and backups where needed
  • ImproveNew features as your business changes

04 Selected work

From a client’s website to full web apps.

A website its organiser runs day to day, live tools on this site, a real-time web app for phones, tablets and PCs, and automation behind the scenes: the range of work I take on.
All work
  • Event website with its own admin system

    Iwade Rock

The website for Iwade Rock, a community music event held every two years that raises money for charity, built for the organiser with an admin dashboard so they can run it themselves between events.

    1. Organiser
      • Admin dashboard
      • Photo uploads
    2. API
      • Serverless Node API
    3. Storage
      • Table Storage
      • Blob Storage
    4. Visitors
      • Public site
      • Facebook news feed
    The challenge
The organiser of Iwade Rock needed more than a static page. Line-ups, tickets, sponsors, food vendors, news and photos all change in the run-up to each event, and the organiser needed to keep them up to date without calling a developer, on hosting that costs little and needs no server looking after.
    Demonstrates
    • Building for a client, from brief to a site they run themselves
    • Content management tailored to how an organisation works
    • Low-cost serverless hosting on Azure
    • Angular
    • TypeScript
    • Azure Static Web Apps
    • Azure Table Storage
    • Azure Blob Storage
  • Live tool on this site

    UK Fuel Finder

A free tool on this site that finds petrol and diesel prices near a postcode or your location, using the UK Government’s official Fuel Finder data.

    1. Source
      • GOV.UK Fuel Finder API
    2. API
      • Azure Functions
      • In-memory national cache
    3. Search
      • Postcode lookup
      • Distance filter
    4. Visitors
      • Fuel Finder page
      • Map and list
    The challenge
The UK Government’s Fuel Finder service publishes forecourt prices, but its API has no “near me” search: it hands out the whole country in batches, with strict limits on how fast it can be called. The goal was a quick, simple search for drivers that respects those limits, keeps prices current and is honest about how old each price is.
    Demonstrates
    • Integrating a government API with OAuth, batching and rate limits
    • Serverless APIs on Azure Functions with in-memory caching
    • Search by postcode and browser geolocation
    • Angular
    • TypeScript
    • Azure Functions
    • Node.js
    • Leaflet
  • Live tool on this site and data platform

    UK EV Charger Finder

A free tool on this site for finding public electric vehicle chargers near you, built on WorthIT EV Data, an API that combines charge point data from several sources into one consistent format.

    1. Sources
      • Operator feeds
      • Open Charge Map
    2. Ingestion
      • Provider adapters
      • Scheduled sync
    3. WorthIT EV Data
      • Normalise and deduplicate
      • Search and details API
    4. Visitors
      • EV Charger Finder
      • Future apps
    The challenge
UK charge point operators have to publish their data openly under the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023, using the OCPI standard. In practice every source differs: some need keys, each has its own limits, statuses are not always live, the same charger can appear in more than one feed, and tariffs can combine per-kWh prices with session, time and idle fees. The aim was one clean API that hides those differences, and a finder that never shows a charger twice or a price it can’t stand behind.
    Demonstrates
    • Designing a data aggregation platform, not just a page
    • Working with open data standards (OCPI) and regulated data sources
    • Careful deduplication and conflict resolution across sources
    • Angular
    • TypeScript
    • Azure Functions
    • Azure Blob Storage
    • Node.js
  • Browser-based web app

    EDCoPTER

A real-time web app for modern browsers that turns phones, tablets and PCs on the local network into live, touch-friendly control panels. Built as a free companion app for Elite Dangerous players, it shows what a browser-based app can do beyond a website.

    1. Game
      • Elite Dangerous
      • EDCoPilot voice assistant
    2. Bridge
      • Electron app + local server
      • TCP to WebSocket
    3. Screens
      • Browser on phone, tablet or PC
    4. Integrations
      • MQTT / Home Assistant
      • Azure storage
    The challenge
The goal was to give Elite Dangerous players who use the EDCoPilot voice assistant a second screen: live information about their ship and location, and buttons for in-game commands, on a phone, tablet or PC already to hand. That meant bridging a local desktop tool to browsers across the home network in real time, letting every player design their own layout, and shipping reliable installers and updates to people running it on their own machines.
    Demonstrates
    • Rich, app-like interfaces in modern web browsers, on desktop, tablet and mobile
    • Building, releasing and maintaining a substantial application that real people install and use
    • Real-time data across devices over WebSockets and MQTT
    • Angular
    • TypeScript
    • RxJS
    • Electron
    • Node.js
  • Ongoing development platform

    AI development automation

An ongoing development platform exploring how coding tasks can be planned, delegated and verified across multiple AI providers, while keeping the developer in control.

    1. Request
      • Development task
    2. Route
      • n8n orchestration
      • Project routing
    3. Execute
      • Codex or Claude
      • Persistent sessions
    4. Verify
      • Validation
      • Review and tests
    The challenge
AI development tools are powerful individually, but each has different strengths, and using them well involves a lot of manual coordination. The aim is to explore how development work can be orchestrated end to end, with suitable tools doing each part and the developer staying in control. The working infrastructure is real, and the orchestration architecture is still being developed and refined.
    Demonstrates
    • Hands-on, current experience building with AI tools and agents
    • Workflow automation with n8n and APIs
    • Designing orchestration, validation and review processes
    • Claude
    • Codex
    • n8n
    • REST APIs
    • Node.js

Automation & AI

AI where it helps. Not where it doesn’t.

I actively build AI-assisted automation, including an ongoing platform that runs development work through multiple AI providers while keeping the developer in control. That hands-on experience means honest advice: AI is a useful tool for the right problems, alongside ordinary automation and good software.
