The approach behind WorthIT Solutions
Good software starts with understanding the problem properly. The technology comes second.
I’ve been developing software professionally since 2009, but my interest in computers goes back to my first PC in 1994. That experience spans established business systems (the long-running .NET, C# and VB.NET applications, ASP.NET and MVC sites, WCF services and SQL databases that organisations depend on) as well as modern web applications, cloud services, integrations, automation and AI tooling.
I’m equally comfortable starting something brand new or getting to grips with an existing system someone else built: working out why it behaves the way it does, modernising it a piece at a time and connecting it to newer systems, without breaking what already works or rewriting what doesn’t need it.
I particularly enjoy the awkward problems: real-time data, systems that were never designed to talk to each other, or processes that have grown into a tangle of spreadsheets and emails.
And I don’t believe every problem needs an enormous platform or expensive infrastructure. The solution should fit the problem. Sometimes that’s a substantial application; sometimes it’s a small automation that saves a few hours every week.
